what is Jump Sart Move?
Discover your talents through dance and theatrical expression. Thes are the arts chosen by Jump Start Move (which means ‘get up and go’). This organization works with youth at risk between the ages of 12 and 18. Jump Start Move utilizes theater and dance to reinforce emotional growth, personal ambition and teaching valuable life skills. Helping them attain an extremely high level of artistic proficiency, Which culminates in theatrical peformances in some of the most famous play houses in England.
Dancing for others
Founders Amy McGann and Philip Hill, two famous dancers who have decided to donate their time and expertise to help others. They taught and performed with a range of well-known arts organisations – Adventures in Motion Pictures, Dance United, Laban, Random Dance, Protein and East London Dance. As Jump Start Move, they develop projects with children and adults, and intergenerational groups in a range of diverse settings – in fact, in any setting you like to suggest!
Jump Start Move’s intensive and radical approach ensures high levels of engagement.This project is rigorous and demanding – improving participants’ physical fitness and powers of concentration. Projects are fun – expanding creative expression, raising life and social skills and promoting effective team work. Projects are inspirational – encouraging personal ambition, creative vision and a sense of individual and collective responsibility.
