WeFree Days 2017

October 10th and 11th 2017

For years San Patrignano has been implementing the WeFree project, an extensive network of prevention interventions in the national territory focused on the “peer-to-peer education”, with the involvement of members of the Community.

“WeFree Days”, an event conceived and realized with the contribution from members of the Community, will be held October 10th and 11th at San Patrignano and will represent the annual opening of the activity. These two days are dedicated to examine issues relating to drug addiction and common problems among the youth. Our goal is to stimulate a constructive dialogue that proposes an alternative to the tendency to deal superficially with the today’s drug problem.

An event attended by about 2,700 high school students from around Italy, alongside Italian and International institution representatives and representatives of associations active in the social sector together with personalities from the world of sport, culture and entertainment.

WeFree Days is divided into four thematic areas: Forum, Theatre, Forumio and Experience.

Educate by leaving a positive sign / The difficulty of asking for help
Teachers and parents have launched an alarm: how can we help children at risk? A situation that can often lead to dramatic consequences: school dropout, addiction, affective disorders in relationships. This scenario is not just about the complexity of family life, but also manifests itself in school. A reflection on the need and the duty to build a system of targeted interventions and to improve synergies between education agencies.

About me: adolescence trials between diversity and standardization
The path to maturity is full of pitfalls. Social tensions will inevitably and often reflect with greater intensity on the first personal experiences lived by the children individually, away from the protection of the family. In a global and multifaceted world we try an exploration of how diversity can be experienced, in which spaces and with which languages can be measured, between isolation and representations of otherness, in the difficult attempt to be themselves.
